Linda was born and raised on a farm in Geneseo, IL where, from a young age, she developed a passion for horses. She attended Stephens College in Missouri where she rode in the advanced equitation classes and was a member of the Prince of Wales Equestrian Club. She received a degree in health education and biology from WIU. Equine experiences include riding the ridges of the Rock River to ranch work in Wyoming, to traveling and grooming for a professional trainer. After moving to southern Illinois, distance riding became her emphasis along with a sport horse breeding program called Wineglass Farm, specializing in breeding Shagya sport horses. Her keen eye and extensive knowledge pedigrees of several breeds has allowed her to breed sound, solid, elegant sport horses year after year. Linda is also the USA liaison for the International Shagya Society, is the registrar for the Performance Shagya Registry and is an FEI 2* Endurance Steward.
Linda enjoys spending her time with her horses, whether is riding or working with the young stock. Recently, Linda and Joe have attained the title of “Omama” and “Papa” from their 2 grandchildren, whom they spend as much time as possible with them and the rest of the family. Linda is also enjoys sewing, knitting, and spending time working in her flower bed.
